[00:00:08] Jamie, how are you? Hey Derek, I'm pretty good, thanks, how about yourself? I'm great, I'm so happy to be talking to you again, this is visit number three and I feel like I couldn't be any more flattered, so thank you for coming on. Thank you for having me. Yeah, yeah, so some things have changed, I have to say your hair got longer. Do you find that FROM has opened up some opportunities, Jamie, in other areas of acting for you?
[00:00:33] I would hope, I'm not really sure what's in the future, but I'm really enjoying my time being on set with FROM and I really enjoyed being to all different sorts of conventions and I like traveling to different places too and it's pretty cool that people come up to me sometimes and say, oh my god, wait, are you an actor? Are you any chance this guy on the show? And then, oh my god, thank you so much. And I say, I'm Jamie, nice to meet you.
[00:00:58] And then, oh my god, thank you so much. And I say, you know, how much I freak, how much they love the show and how much I freak them out sometimes. No, but I love it. And when I was at conventions last year, I loved every second of it. Meeting cool people, seeing all the fans, cosplayers, security coordinators, everybody, they were just awesome.
[00:01:19] Yeah, when people ask me, when people who watch the podcast ask me, they say, who's the nicest guest you've ever interviewed? And I'm approaching 700 interviews and the first name on my mouth is always yours, Jamie. Oh, thank you. Yeah, you are kind to everybody. And, you know, speaking of your Comic-Cons, like I see when you go to them, you post people's pictures, like you're legitimately happy to be there. And I can't, as someone who has covered Comic-Cons, I can legitimately say not every actor or director that goes to those things has the best intentions as far as being there for the fans.
[00:01:48] I think, I know you are there for the fans. Oh, I'm absolutely thrilled to be there. And when I was doing Montreal back in July, I was so excited to meet all the other guests. And when I went to the conventions here for the first time ever, I felt like a little kid walking into a stadium for the first time about to see his first sporting event. Yeah, yeah. I just didn't know how to react. I was like, okay. It's like, you guys do what you want. I was like, I could get used to this.
[00:02:17] I was like, does it only have to be this weekend? So there's Comic-Cons near us, near me anyways, Rhode Island Comic-Con. If you ever branch outside of Canada, it would be so great to see you and actually meet you in person at some of these things. I really appreciate that. Thanks. Yeah, yeah. So what have you learned about Comic-Cons, Jamie? Maybe something you didn't know before that you figured out afterwards. Where is it? Is it just a great place for people to meet, people who see you?
[00:02:44] Because honestly, what you are on screen and off screen, I don't think there's ever in the history of movies or television been somebody that's that vastly different. You're super kind as a human being, as a character. You're polar opposite. What has the Comic-Con circuit kind of brought to your attention or something you realized after going to a few? So growing up, I wasn't all too familiar with Comic-Cons, what they were like. And I wasn't too familiar with it, to be honest, until I started watching The Big Bang Theory.
[00:03:14] No, I'm not kidding. No, no, I got you. I never grew up with it. That's all. I'm not talking against it. I just never grew up with it. Didn't know what it was like. It's like, okay, you get to meet certain actors, people dress up, and you get to see these different kinds of actors. Then when I found out I was being invited to these places, I'm like, okay, this is going to be pretty cool. And when I see all the other guests are there, now I'm starstruck, completely starstruck with almost everyone I see.
[00:03:39] Whether I'm working with them, whether I see them for a couple of seconds, or whether I'm actually knowing that I'm going to hang out with them over the weekend for dinner, walking around the city. It's amazing. And when I see fans and cosplayers dressed up, and some of them that come up to me, it's like, oh, my God, this is amazing. Why is it only a weekend? And a few examples I could give you. And I was in Ottawa Comic-Con in September.
[00:04:07] So, and, well, there was one fan that came up to me, and one of the best Harley Quinn costumes I ever saw, one of the best Harley Quinn cosplayers ever. I'm like, oh, my God, I can't not get a photo with this person. And it's like, oh, and the fact that they love the show, it's like added bonus. Yeah, yeah. Plus how they feel about you. I mean, that was to take a picture with a guy that has an awesome part in one of the best shows on television. Oh, thanks. Yeah.
[00:04:37] And it's just so cool. And the fact that I get to meet all these cool celebrities, and some of them I met, they come up to me, and they tell me they're fans. I'm like, oh, my, that they're fans of the show. I'm, oh, my God, thank you so much. And I'm just like, oh, my God, thank you. I really appreciate that. On the surface, I'm trying to be calm as anything. Just saying, hi, nice to meet you. It's very cool. No, thank you. I appreciate it. I like your work, too, which is true because I've seen them on certain TV shows and certain movies and love their work. They're great people.
[00:05:36] Not to give me everybody, but just a few people. Oh, it is pretty much everybody. But I'd say Montreal Comic-Con completely took me by surprise. So one guy I really was really excited to meet, looking forward to it most in Montreal, was John Kassir, the crib keeper himself. Good one. So I landed that Thursday in Montreal. I get a call from my manager. He tells me, he's like, hey, Jamie, you in your room yet? I was like, yeah, I just got here. He says, how are you feeling? In a couple minutes, you get sold away, get cleaned up.
[00:06:06] And then how do you feel about meeting myself, John, and his wife for supper? And we'll tell you where it is. I'll meet in the lobby. I'll go to meet them. I was like, okay, no, I appreciate that. Thank you very much. Take care. See you soon. I was like, oh, my God. So as soon as I'm in the hotel room, less than two minutes I'm in there. I'm getting cleaned up, trying to make sure I look nice, making sure my hair dries fast enough. And then as soon as I'm there, I was like, oh, my God. I get to meet him. And then we go to this really nice restaurant in Montreal. Never been there before.
[00:06:34] And then seeing John Kassir for the first time, I was like, oh, my God. It's so nice to meet you. Met his wife, too. And, of course, the four of us, we just hit it off because this was my first time meeting him. And I watched Tales from the Crypt Keeper when I was a kid. And then when I got older, I watched Tales from the Crypt. And I had a photo taken with him and everything. And I told them about from. I met with him in July. And this was just by chance.
[00:07:03] I don't know who's. And the celebrities I was next to in my booth, I don't know who set this up. But I'm thanking them pretty much every second I'm there. I have on my left, I got John Kassir and Natalia Taina. On my right, I got Rose McGowan and Famke Jansen. Wow. Like right next to me, I'm like, oh, my God. I was like, oh, my gosh. Thank you. That's a pretty good spot, Jamie, to be in at a comic company. I was like, okay, yep, I'm good. I'm next to the two celebrities I wanted to meet the most.
[00:07:34] I mean, don't get me wrong. I wanted to see everybody there and interact with them. But I'm not starstruck and shy. I'm just like, okay, if they approach me, no problem. If they don't, no worries. It's really cool to be in the same building with them, get to do the exact same thing that they're doing. And I'm in a really awesome city meeting with these people. And then I find out later in September that John and his wife, Vanessa, they started watching From.
[00:08:01] And later that month, I get a message from Vanessa, his wife, saying, Jamie, just wanted to know we started watching From. We absolutely love the show and we love your work. I'm like, oh, my God. Thank you. So in my mind, I'm going, wait a minute. First, Stephen King loves From. Now I get a message from the Crypt Keeper and his wife telling me they love From. I'm like, oh, thank you. And it was so awesome.
[00:08:24] And in Ottawa, I came across this one guy, must be in his 30s or 40s, something like that, fairly fit guy. Comes over to me and says, hey, man, love the show. Just wanted to say it's great work. I didn't recognize him immediately. I was like, oh, my God. I was like, okay, that's really cool. And then I'm like, I must have been that starstruck. I must have had a brain freeze or something. I'm like, oh, my God, the Trailer Park Boys. Oh. And then I got a photo.
[00:08:50] And then while we were on a break saying where we have our lunch, I got a photo with them. Oh, my gosh. How great is that? And talking about being next to celebrities that I find are really awesome. So on my right, I met Heather Langenkamp and Robert Englund. And on my left, I had Matt Cordaire, great French-Canadian actor. And he did part of Ghostface with Scream 6.
[00:09:16] And then Ken Kurtzinger, who was Jason in Jason vs. Freddy or Freddy vs. Jason. I was like, oh, my God. And it's like, I'm that excited. I almost don't want to leave. Because I'm like, I'm good. It's like, I'm good. It's like, I'm set. This is best kind. And then I get that happy working on set, working in conventions.
[00:09:38] And then while none of us had a big line at the time or while we were on a break, Ken comes up to me and he goes, hey, Jamie, how do you feel if you got a photo with Matt and I? I'm like, really? He's like, oh, my God. Thank you. So I'm like, time out. I'm getting a photo taken with Ghostface and Jason. And the three of us are together. And there's one photo at Ottawa Comic-Con. And then the last day we were there, Matt and I hit it off pretty good.
[00:10:06] We got to, we were, you know, neighboring booths. And I speak French. And I got to meet his parents as well. So I got along with his parents pretty decently too. Wow. And then at the end of it, so we signed a photo for each of us. So I signed one with me looking over the railing for that one. It said, to Matt, then signed it. And then he did a ghost. Then he got a Ghostface photo. It said, to Jamie, signed it, Matt. And then we got a photo together with each other's autographs. How cool is that? So I got, there's a photo of us.
[00:10:36] So I'm holding the autograph he gave me and he's holding the photo I signed for him. Oh, that's really cool, Jamie. Yeah. I mean, I was that happy. I'm going to cry, faint, what? But I was, and I'm so happy with all of it. And it's the cosplayers. And it's interesting what they have me sign as well. What do they have you sign, Jamie? No, because it's so cool. So, and this was a first for me. I didn't see it coming. There's this kid.
[00:11:05] He comes up with, it's a rock. It's an actual rock. It's not plastic or foam or rubber. It's like an actual rock. Right. With talisman carvings of, from, on it. So I'm signing an actual rock for the kid. And his parents are there. So I'm just like, so I just sign my name as best I can, do a smiley face best I can in a gold marker. Trying to sign it real well. Got a photo with him afterwards. Then I'm, then I end up shaking all their hands saying, oh my God, thank you so much. This is, this is awesome. It's a first.
[00:11:34] And, and one thing I also do, I found while traveling, learning different languages, because I got different places in the world on my pocket list. And I got to meet people from, who are originally from different countries. And while I'm still learning, I still sign most things in English, but I got to, you know, chat about them. And it's like, okay, what's it like in this place? Or, oh, cool. I want to go there someday. It's on my bucket list. What can you tell me?
[00:12:03] And it's just, it's just awesome. I get to interact with so many people from different places. And in Winnipeg, what really had me starstruck or another one, I'll probably say this all the time, but I was, I got to hang out the weekend. I was at Winnipeg Comic Con. And I got to hang out with John Kassir and Malcolm McDowell. Oh my God.
[00:12:26] And John and I were next to neighboring booths, Malcolm and Malcolm would, when he wasn't too busy sometimes, or when he was on a break, he'd see how we're doing. And we'd hang out and the three of us and our manager and a guy, Kenny, really nice guy who does a lot of work with Winnipeg. So one night, the five of us are out at this Italian restaurant. It's the day after John's birthday. And so we're all there and we just, we love every second of us. And we're chatting, making small talks, celebrating John's birthday.
[00:12:55] And then the five of us and the chef get a photo together at this great restaurant. And, and I mean, I can't hold the candle to the crib keeper, but like I knew it was John's birthday. So when no one's around, I just went, bon anniversaire, mon scare ami. Right. So for those like, bon anniversaire, my share is like, happy birthday, my friend. Right. So it's just like, oh my God, how's everyone doing? You can speak French fluently. You can speak French fluently.
[00:13:23] Je ne parle pas de français, pas 100%, mais je l'ai étudié pendant six semaines. I guess that's a guess. Je parle de quoi l'antenneuve. I travel a fair bit. So there's a few languages I can speak, not nearly as well as English, but for the heck of it, like a few places in when I think I was in Ottawa and Winnipeg. I got to find out, wait a minute. It's close to spooky season. Dracula's originally, I know, and Bram Stoker, he's Irish.
[00:13:53] Transylvania, Bram Castle, also known as Dracula's Castle for fun and for something to do. And I know some people from there. Why don't I just try a little bit of Romanian and see how similar it is? So for the sheer heck of it, and if I'm mispronouncing anything, if anyone wants me to, I'm sorry in advance. Because until then, I didn't know anything in Romanian other than thank you and Merry Christmas. And then there was one thing I said, and one thing I tell people, it's like, aren't you worried about trick-or-treaters or does anything in horror freak you out?
[00:14:21] And then what I said was, and most times the scariest thing in my house, even during Halloween, is me. Now, my parents and I, we never went full out horror when I was growing up as a kid, but I never really got into horror until my late teens, early 20s. But it was just so cool that I was like, okay, yeah, this is pretty cool. So for fun, I started learning new languages and meeting different people. And you get to talk about these places where you've been, what it's like.
[00:14:49] I mean, I just, I love every second of it. I get to hang out with so many people. Even if, like, I know it's for a weekend, but I'm just like, it's a weekend. This is, I almost don't want it to end. Yeah, I get it. Yeah, Jamie, I got to tell you. I'm sorry, go ahead. No, because I was in Montreal for my birthday, which was a little over a week ago. Happy belated birthday. Oh, thank you. And I went for two reasons.
[00:15:17] So my mom was for my birthday and my mom had never been to Montreal before. So I was like, you know, Mother's Day wasn't that long ago. So why don't the two of us just go? She never been. And so we went there and we had a great time. And it was so cool that apart from my mom and I really enjoying it, going to these awesome stores, these great restaurants, you get to meet all these sorts of people. And then I just walk around.
[00:15:44] And sure enough, people are coming up to me telling me how much they love the show. And I was like, oh, my God, thank you. I mean, and sometimes my mom was the one holding the camera. She wanted a photo. So we walk into a store to pick up some souvenirs and gifts for some of my relatives. We go there. And so when there's this woman at the counter, she's like, I'm sorry, I really don't want to bother you. But are you an actor? I was like, hi. Yes, I am. So, do you know where I might have seen you in a few things? I don't know.
[00:16:13] You look like you're on something scary or I forget exactly what you said. I was like, I'm Jamie. Nice to meet you. And she's like, what? You mean this guy? It's like, oh, my God. It's so I got a photo. So I got a photo taken with her right, right at the store. Oh, that is so cool. You know, going. Go ahead. I'm sorry. It's amazing. Going back to what you said before, there was you said you met the trailer park boys, right?
[00:16:37] One of the things that I don't know if fans know, but John Dunsworth, who passed away, his daughter was. Remember when you came on? It was like one of your first couple appearances. And then there was a girl that came on. She had she looked so innocent. And she was she wanted to come into the guys. That's Molly Dunsworth. That's her dad. John, I didn't know. Like, that's she's been on the show. That's amazing, isn't it? I know. That's surreal. I'm oh, my God. I think I actually met her once when I was first starting with season one. Yeah, she's so kind.
[00:17:07] She's beyond nice. Yeah. She you guys have that in common very much. But I just thought when you mentioned that and your manager is a great guy, too, on a side note. He is. I'm really grateful that I've met him. And he's such he's a great guy in every possible way. Yeah. And believe me, he's honest. And that's not a that's not common in his field. So, yeah, you have a good one. Yeah. You got a good one. So I got to ask you, I'm just going through, you know, the season. I'm going to be very careful. I don't want to ruin any spoilers or anything.
[00:17:36] What do you love most about Smiley, Jamie? What do I love most about my character? Yeah. You know, it's kind of hard to say. I love the fact that. As you said before, and I usually try to be I usually aim for this. I usually try and be a decent guy. And the fact that I get to play such a creepy character who's like, oh, my God, he's so evil. It's like, oh, yeah. How you doing, man? Best kind.
[00:18:00] And I love the fact that, like, with Smiley and all the other creatures, how they enjoy being that creepy where they almost feel like they can just take their time. Even if it's just scaring them, they thrill it. And the first scary scene I ever did was that railing scene inside Colony House when I was looking down. And then when they set me up to do it, I didn't know what was expected.
[00:18:27] So I put the stuff in my mouth and made sure my collar was just right, hair was everything. And as soon as I looked down, just toying with it. So I'd say one of my favorite things is how, like, I guess I have fun doing it so much. And I give, I just give it my all. And I enjoy taking the direction that the directors and producers give me. Any advice, I really appreciate it.
[00:18:56] Because the bus scene, when they said, when I was looking at it, you picked a bad spot. Well, I wasn't really sure how to read it. I was almost going a little too serious or a little too intense. Then when I looked at it more, and it's just like, you picked a bad spot. Like, okay, this is a little more playful. Like, you can tell he's toying with them now. It's not like, I'm going to tell you. It's like, hello. I'm going to do my dinner now.
[00:19:22] And there's a, well, there's a scene kind of like that that I'm going to dance around. Let me ask you this. At one point, so I feel like the monsters at one point were probably normal people. We see, you know, they're dressed up in whatever, a nurse, a chef, whatever. Whatever. What do you think Smiley's back? I don't know if I've asked you this before. Maybe I have. I don't think I did. What Smiley's backstory is? What do you think? I mean, if they didn't tell you, how do you see it? Like, what do you think he was? Was he a good guy? What do you think he did in the 60s?
[00:19:51] Was he like, anything you want to say on that, Jamie? Do you have that backstory in your head? Did they tell you one? I really couldn't say for sure either way, to be honest with you. Yeah. When I find it out, I'm just going to let it be a delightful surprise. Okay. Okay. All right. I don't want to accidentally reveal any spoilers. And I always find that it's like, okay, cool. I never knew this before. If I didn't see it in the script my way, or if there was something that happened on screen that either I didn't see or that I forgot.
[00:20:20] It's whether I've read it or haven't read it. I just enjoy watching it. I find there's no spoilers or dampers or anything like that. I just enjoy it. Enjoy the whole scenes, the whole episodes. I should say, whether I'm on it or not, whether I remember it or not. Right. Right. Right. Right. And I love it. And when I see other movies and TV shows that some of the cast are from have been on, I'm like, oh my God, I got to work with these people.
[00:20:49] I get to work with these people. I got to hang out. It's like, oh my God, this is amazing. I get to hang out. I got to meet these people. This is so cool. Oh yeah. And they, go ahead, Jamie. And it's so awesome how with season three, back in 2024, I believe I was, it was going to be interesting to see how they bring Smiley back. And apart from now that was brilliantly written.
[00:21:14] It was like, I was in awe of it and the kids who played the younger versions of Smiley, they're awesome. I met them. I met their families and they're, they're pros. They're awesome. It's like, I see a kid who's see like this little kid. He has no problem getting all gooped up and ready. It's like, wow, he can say like, that is like, that, that is awesome that he can do that in the team, the exact same story.
[00:21:39] And what really, what really, I don't know about clinched it, but one moment I will probably never forget. When I came back for season three, I'm walking back on the way to the trailer, Pegas sees me. And the first words that come out of her mouth are my boy. Literally welcomed with open arms. Oh, she's, she's such a great person too. And I have to say, so, so I kind of wanted to ask you about that without going into spoilers.
[00:22:08] I can't figure out what their connection is. Is it mother and son? Is it something more evil? Because I feel like it is taking a toll on Fatima. I think it's taking a toll on her emotionally, mentally. You know, we're seeing that over the season. How do you see that, Jamie, without going into spoilers or whatever, how do you see the relationship between Smiley and Fatima?
[00:22:34] I really couldn't say for sure without going into any spoilers, but it's going to be interesting to see how it all unfolds. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because where I am now, I'm a little bit of, I'm one episode, two episodes ahead of everybody. She almost is like a puppet master in a way for him. And I'm so curious to see how that plays out. Like she, she can kind of control. I mean, this is not because I feel like people have already seen this with divisions and stuff. They, they, they've already seen this as our, this is not like a spoiler.
[00:23:02] People have seen that Fatima could see through your eyes in the show. So I'm just curious how deep that goes. It's just as a fan, it's so much fun to watch, Jamie. I really couldn't say for sure. Especially with spoilers. Yeah. Yeah. Even though I'm a star on it, I didn't mean to cut you off, Derek. I'm sorry. No, no, no. You're not cutting me off. Circling back gently to Comic-Con and being part of such a great show, not only do I get to be a part of it, but I feel like I'm a guest and a fan at the same time. Right. Right. Right.
[00:23:32] I'm like, yes, I've worked with these people. This is, you know, season four is now streaming or it's airing. I'm looking at, it's like, still, it's like, I I'm starstruck by most of the, by almost, or scratch out by every star I've seen. It takes almost every ounce for me to keep everything down. Like be so calm as anything. I met David Alpay very briefly at one moment when I was just walking back and forth through the trailer. I'm so calm. It's like, hi, nice to meet you.
[00:24:00] And then my head is just going, oh my God, I got to meet David Alpay. Like, it's so cool that I met Jade. Yeah. He's such a funny guy, huh? He's so funny. And I, sorry. And it was so cool that I know I don't do any scenes with, or I didn't do any scenes with him yet, but I got to see Scott McCord a fair bit. Just brief interactions. Hey, how are you? It's like, oh my God, love your work on the show. Thanks man. Love yours too. And everyone I meet, they're just so easy to talk to.
[00:24:29] They're great people. They're, there's no one who's, everyone is just awesome to hang out with, work with. They're professional. They're kind. They know what they're doing. They'll, we help each other if need be. Jamie, I could back you up on that because I've interviewed almost the entire cast and I have never had one negative, they've all been obnoxiously kind. Like they've, I haven't had one experience where I was like, oh, this person wasn't so kind there.
[00:24:59] They are, whatever you're, all the things you're saying right now, I can back up as 100% true. Awesome. Yeah. Yeah. So let me ask you this. Do you ever get the script? You don't have to give me a specific event. Like, so like, let's take the rebirth or this season script and you don't have to go into specifics. Are you ever like, what the heck is it? Like, it's such amazing writing. It's, I don't even know how they think of some of this stuff, but does it ever surprise
[00:25:25] you as, you know, who portrays Smiley at some of the stuff you're reading and how they come to think of these ideas? When I read the script, I try not to, now I take my role, my craft seriously while having fun with it. I try not to read too, too much into it or get too wrapped up in it because A, I don't want to accidentally give any spoilers. B, I don't want to have anything. It's like, oh, maybe it's only got to be done this way or just this certain way. But when I read it, it's, I wonder how this is going to play out.
[00:25:55] I wonder how it's going to do for me. Yes. I'm given directions, lines. I see how it's going to unfold, but it's always a nice surprise when I'm finally on set and when I'm working there to see how it all comes together. The rebirth scene, thrills and chills is probably the best way I can put it because I'm there, if you'll pardon the expression, wearing almost nothing but a smile when I'm getting, so they goop me up from head to toe and this stuff.
[00:26:24] I'm doing this with my face and just making sure it gets everywhere, that no patches left out. And when they do it, and I'm just trying to think of the warmest songs to think of trying to keep me warm. Because anyone who knows me knows I'm not the biggest fan of cold environments, but I love it so much. It's like, I laugh hard enough. I enjoy it. And you love Christmas. You love Christmas, right, Jamie? For those meeting you for the first time, you love Christmas. Yeah, me too. I'm a big Christmas guy, too. I'm sorry. No worries at all.
[00:26:54] And I love it so much. So I knew Smiley was going to be, when I read the script, like, okay, he's going to be reborn. How exactly is this going to happen? So sure enough, goop me up from head to toe, threw this big sheet over me. I was given directions. I had to make sure I was in a squad, had this sheet over me just to make sure I could squirm naturally, make sure it would look right for the camera. Make sure I didn't F anything up on anyone. So I'm just like, squirming a little, take the sheet off, and then just smile around. It's like, looking at boys.
[00:27:23] It's like, you almost want to go, Grandpa. Oh, and it always freaks people out, or not always, but they find it curious. It's like, you're a horror and Christmas fanatic? Because anyone who knows me, or recent years, I sometimes try and dress to the nines when it comes for the holidays. It's like, I have a Christmas suit. I used to dress up a little for St. Paddy's Day, nothing over the top, just this green suit with a hat.
[00:27:52] And for Halloween, I've been told I no longer need a costume. So I put that on, and it's just amazing. It's like, what? And the last day, I'm wrapping up for set after we do season four. And I could just say, I went, okay, happy belated Halloween. Hope you all enjoy your holidays. And one of the ADs, Scott McCord is there too. So it's just the three of us along the trailer. We're getting our hair and makeup taken off. And then it was just the three of us.
[00:28:22] And one of the ADs goes, so Jamie, you're a horror and Christmas fanatic? I'm like, yeah. So you speak a few languages. I'm like, I'm learning. I do what I can. And he goes, well, what can you say Merry Christmas? Or what languages can you say Merry Christmas in? So I just, I try and count them on my fingers. Now, I don't know every language, but I know a fair bit of it. I thought his jaw was going to hit the ground. And even Scott McCord was just like, okay.
[00:28:51] I can say it in a fair bit. And then afterwards, when I was done, the AD wished me Merry Christmas in both Spanish and ASL. Wow, that's so sweet. Huh? Yeah. I was like, oh my God. Thanks so much, man. And when we did it, I answered back to him in Spanish and ASL. How do you, do you know how to say Merry Christmas in ASL? I've seen it in two ways. It's either, or just the C for Merry Christmas.
[00:29:21] Oh, that's so cool. I tell you, that's a tough, that's tough to learn ASL. People spend forever in school just to learn that. It's amazing. You know. I'm not fluent by any means. I know the alphabet. Yeah, yeah, yeah. A couple of animals, some colors, just a few things here and there. And a few Halloween vocab now and then. But it's, I'm not perfect at it by any means. No. Jamie, what did you think of the dolls? Were you scared by the dolls? And from, you mentioned the episodes. How crazy was that?
[00:29:50] Oh, the most recent ones? The ones who look like spirits? Yeah, the dolls. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The dolls that everyone's seen already. I found that so cool. Me too. And because when I looked at them, I'm not, if this is inaccurate, please forgive me. When I looked at them, it's like, you know who they remind me of? Sam from the movie Trick or Treat. Oh. Which is on a larger scale. And Trick or Treat is one of my go-to horror movies to watch during spooky season. Right. So I'm like, okay, I am loving this.
[00:30:19] It's like, I don't know who lives or dies. I'm just going to enjoy watching basically grown versions of Sam terrorize and freak out people. Yeah, they were scary as heck. And the other person on your takeout was the man in the yellow suit. How frightening is he or she now, Jamie? Isn't that, isn't he so frightening, that character? Portrayed by two people, which is amazing. Yeah. To me, I'm not really sure how it's going to play out. But some people get freaked out by it.
[00:30:46] So I've had the honor of meeting Doug Hughes in person. Yeah, he's a great guy. And this is completely by chance. So when we were filming last October, a huge, I think it was just a little bit of Hurricane Melissa. We were grounded. And with weather, we had to reschedule everything. So two actors that had I filmed originally when I was scheduled to, and I'm not complaining
[00:31:12] at all, because I got to stay in Halifax longer, meet some fans that I probably wouldn't have met if I had gone away sooner. But I got to meet Robert Joy while, and we weren't on set. We were just in the hotel hanging out. So I go to the hotel front desk just to ask him something or pick up something. And then sure enough, I take an elevator up with him. And he goes, he looks at me and goes, are you on From? And then I was like, oh my God.
[00:31:41] It's like, because I've seen Robert Joy. I've watched some stuff he's been on, some TV shows he's guest on. I was like, I'm sorry, Robert? He's like, hi, I'm Jamie. Nice to meet you. It's like, oh my God, this is so cool. I get to meet Robert Joy. And it's like, afterwards, it goes from, hey, nice to meet you. It's like, hey, you know what? It's awesome meeting you, man. Call me Bob. So I was like, oh my God, thanks, man. And then when I'm, so I'm walking around the hotel. I do that sometimes. I do that at Fairbiz just to interact, stretch my legs.
[00:32:11] Then when I go around, I'm in this room getting a refill of water. And all of a sudden I hear this man call my name, Jamie. I turn around, it's Doug Hughes. It's Doug Hughes. I meet Doug Hughes while he's working out. Yeah, yeah. Oh my God. Hey, it's like, nice to meet you, man. This is, this is awesome. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, I'm not going to have, again, I don't want, you know, you've done a good job not giving away spoilers, but I'm going to tell you this. Boy, does Smiley have a knack of grand entrances.
[00:32:40] And that doesn't change this season. Yeah, so I'm not going to elaborate. I'm not looking to ruin the show for anybody. But this season he continues that pattern, which is unbelievable. That's going to be amazing for you, Jamie. Every time you're on screen. That's one thing I love about the character too is the entrances as well. Yes, it's, people are going to. And people have made a few comments. It's like, oh my God, he looks like the Joker. Wait, what do you mean right now? He's not offset. When people see interviews, they see me in the street or in an airport, bar, club. It's like, wait, he's not wearing a costume.
[00:33:10] Wait, this is not makeup right now. This is him. And then being compared to the Joker and I'm a huge Jack Nicholson fan, love Tim Curry's work. And I get to see these and I was like, wait a minute. These guys' characters have done grand entrances. And I've never tried that. That's just how it was written.
[00:33:31] I just, since from the moment where I was given the direction one night with all other nightmare creatures or with many other nightmare creatures, it was walk slow and be creepy. So taking the inspiration I've seen watching them, I'm just like, why don't I try it? I mean, worst case scenario, they tell me to do something else. Right, right, right, right. So just a grin, a bit of an eye glare if necessary and just walk slow, see how it goes. And I find it so cool, the different entrances.
[00:34:00] And it never occurred to me before, but that's pretty cool from the bus to looking over the railing, the rebirth. And even when Kenny and Boyd, spoiler alert for those who haven't seen the first episode of season four, taking it off goes, hello, Kenny. It's nice to see you. And I'm still covered in goof or anything. I have a shirt on me. And this is, and I love it.
[00:34:24] And I got to hang out or do a fair bit of scenes with Harold and Ricky. So the three of us got to hang out a little bit. And then even while it looks like we're almost looking to kill each other or just we're enemies, obviously it's like cuts, like, hey, man, great work. Yeah, you too. It's like, yeah, you need some water? No problem. So, and I just love, I love the entire industry so much.
[00:34:51] And the fact that you get to meet fans, I got to meet Michael J. White and his wife Gillian in Montreal. I forgot to mention that. Oh, nice. So she comes up to me and says, oh my God, we love From. I'm like, thank you. Like, I'm trying to, and I see the most that had me, or one of the ones that had me completely taken by surprise. Now, I'm a Harry Potter fan as well. And so is my mom.
[00:35:16] So the very last day we're in Montreal, we're taking down the boards, we're, you know, putting away the tables, cleaning up. One of the coordinators are people who has a hand in organizing the convention. She comes up and is like, so Jamie, you want to meet Natalia? I'm like, what? And she goes, yeah, you want to? It's like, look, I don't want to bother her. Like, I just want to say, you know, nice to meet you. It's really cool. You know, love your work.
[00:35:42] And then apart from being a really amazing person, what she does when I say, oh my God, it's really nice to meet you. I don't want to bother you. Just saying, you know, my mom and I are huge Harry Potter fans. And she would be shocked if I, if she found out that I was, that I didn't get to meet you or see you. And say, oh my God, that's so sweet. What's your mom's name? And then I'm that starstruck. I almost forget my own mother's name. And then I ended up spelling out my mom's name for her.
[00:36:11] And sure enough, I was like, oh my God, thank you so much. Shake her hand. Thank you. And I'm trying to find the safest way to keep this. Yeah, yeah. And so sure enough, I have it on a flat piece of cardboard, put it in a Ziploc, take it back to the suitcase, fold it up in different clothes and put everything around it. But I'm like, I'm protecting this thing. Like it's gold. And it pretty much is gold. It's almost like a golden ticket. Like really won't be a shot or just. So I wanted to give my mom something nice for her birthday.
[00:36:41] And I wanted to keep this thing as much as possible. I'm keeping all this with me. And long story short, when I found out Winnipeg Comic Con was the same time as my mom's birthday, I decided to give it to her early for a gift. Right. So I'm like, here it is. And it says to Daphne, don't call me Nymphadora. Which is one of my mom's favorite lines. And she signed it. My mom has it in this awesome silver picture frame. Yeah, yeah.
[00:37:11] And it's on her mom's like, I am so glad I got to do this. Yeah, yeah. Oh, that's so great. Jamie, what does your mom think of Smiley? My parents don't like horror. They're really supportive of me. Yes. And they will only watch it if it's during the day and the sun is completely bright. I remember one afternoon, my mom, and this is like just after, this is like 1230 in the afternoon or something, just finished lunch.
[00:37:41] She decides that she wants to watch Frum. Turns out it was overcast and it was raining a little bit. It got really dark and overcast. And this is 1230 in the afternoon. It's not, you know, it's not, it's like, ooh, it's almost the witching hour. It's like still pretty early in the day. And she's like, I'll wait till Monday. It's like, I'm standing right here. It's like, no, it's, you know, it's supposed to be nice tomorrow. The sun's supposed to be out. It's like, well, I'll wait till then. Yeah, yeah.
[00:38:08] And so, and sometimes my parents and I have to watch, my parents, they have to watch the show going like this. Partly through it. And. Yeah. And I just, so they love, they love that I get to be a part of something that I love. They love that I'm in the profession that I've always dreamed of doing or of being ever since I was a kid. And they're really supportive of the show and they tell all the different fans.
[00:38:36] And it's just so, it's amazing how they're so scared of horror. They're turned off by horror, but they have no problem watching From as long as it's broad daylight. Yeah. Jamie, correct me if I'm wrong, but your character was supposed to start, be a smaller character, but due to fan popularity grew. Is that, is there truth to that? I think I might've asked you this before, but I can't remember.
[00:39:05] So when I first heard about From, this was, oh, it's going back a few years now. And I remember when I first looked at it, this was just when COVID was starting to settle down a little. Cause 2020, you know, it hit, it hit everybody by surprise. In 2021, I go on the casting website and I hear about From. Now I auditioned for a few parts and applied for Nightmare Creature. Right. Well, I'm sorry.
[00:39:32] So, and there's things you can apply for certain roles that you can apply for a Nightmare Creature. You can apply for a Colony House. You can apply for a Townhouse. So I decided I applied for one of the Nightmare Creatures. And initially, I think it was supposed to be something along the lines of Nerd Creature. Cause I was a lot, I was a lot skinnier back then. And so I, it's the same suit, but they wanted to try and put nerd glasses on me. That lasted for maybe all about five minutes.
[00:40:01] Well, there were no, there were no corrective lenses or anything. Right, right. I forget exactly how it was. So just take it off and see how it goes. So it was Nerd Creature or Nightmare Creature number three. And then when we finished doing season one, I found it so cool that I got to, you know, I'm starting the industry again. 2021 was a fair, it was a cool year for me because after 2020, I applied for smaller roles with other shows.
[00:40:29] I applied with From, I did a fair bit of work. I got to meet with other actors from Nova Scotia. And it was so cool being in close proximity of these amazing people. Forgive me. And then afterwards I decided that there's a Facebook page with From fans. And then I was like, no, what the heck?
[00:40:52] It's going to be interesting to see how certain people, what people think of a show I'm on. And then I hear these great comments, see these great things. What I didn't know was that there was one character in particular that just seemed to freak everybody out. No, I didn't know who it was. I had no idea. And I said, oh my God, this character freaks me out so much. It's like, oh my God, did you see that scene? Or I forget exactly what they said.
[00:41:20] And then sure enough, it's like, and I have no idea who this person is. It could be anybody at this point. Never did I think it was me. Especially with the railing. And it was me with the railing scene. Like the scene that freaked people out a lot in season one. The character with everything. And since then, it's been so amazing how much myself and Smiley have been compared to these icons.
[00:41:47] Now, I find myself just a guy who's really fortunate to have such a great role. It's like, okay, I'm nowhere near as good as these guys. I really appreciate the comparison. I really do. And then there's even a thing with Jack Nicholson and Smiley who wore better. I voted for Jack. I really enjoy it. And it's amazing. Like the bus scenes.
[00:42:11] And I get to see all these different memes of Smiley, of all these other different characters being compared to everything. I love it. I love every second of it. And not just the memes. It's that I get to, so I'm in an industry that I love very much. Every aspect of it. I get to work with an incredibly kind, brilliant, talented team. Yep. And it's, I mean, on set and conventions are basically like second homes to me.
[00:42:41] But well, conventions I hope to do more and more as time progresses. Because it's so cool. The atmosphere, the people, everyone. Every time I'm on set with From, it's because we are a Fromly. So we're our own family, pretty much. And then meeting new characters. It's, you know, we're welcoming all these different characters. All these new characters. These different creatures. Be they townspeople? Newcomers?
[00:43:09] It's like, okay, this Fromly is, like, it's growing. It's really cool. You get to meet all these different people. And it's absolutely amazing. And when I hear videos on, I'll say the main actors, the principal actors on the show, they get interviewed saying, what was your scariest scene moment? Who's your favorite creature? And it's amazing to hear their thoughts, too.
[00:43:39] Because they love what they're doing. They love the work. They love the people they work with. And one scene that I found to be really cool when I watched this video, when Chloe was doing part of the interview, she said, one scene that freaks her out the most is the autopsy scene. Every time she watches it, it genuinely freaks her out. Where I just put the hand up and just – because I was actually given a cue to do that. So I'm in full prosthetics where I can't see anything.
[00:44:10] Malb, I'm laying on – like, I'm just basically laying on a table. It's like, okay, you got Fromly's corpse on a slab. And then they're cutting them open. It's like, as soon as they do it, Jack, I believe, Jack and I are actually giving me the cue. Take up my hand. Just lay completely still. And then it's like – Like, just make it fluid. Just like this quick reflex. Then gradually down. Yeah. And after cutting, once that scene was wrapped or taking a break, I can't see anything.
[00:44:39] Chloe comes up and is like, hey, is that all right if I get a photo with you? Sure, no problem. Wow. That's really awesome. It's all that I get to see them again. Meeting everyone is so – it's just amazing. And some of them I hadn't met until I started working again on season four. AJ, the guy who plays Randall, I only met him for a couple seconds, but I think one of us was starting to go to work for their scene. Another one was going back to their trailer until we were needed again. Met him for a couple seconds.
[00:45:09] And I was like, oh, my God, that's so awesome. Just congratulate each other on the work, saying how awesome it is to meet them. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I love it. It's so cool. You're so good. People – yeah, people are in for such a good ride these next couple episodes. They're some of my favorite. Six, seven, and eight. Oh. I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait. And I say things like, why are we waiting another week? Come on. Yeah, yeah. What do you mean we're skipping a week? Come on.
[00:45:40] And they're going to find out my grand entrance comment is very appropriate. I'll end with this, Jamie, and thank you for all this time. You are just such a good person. Oh, no worries. Jamie, if you could be another character, let's say all the parts were open, what character would you want to – listen, I know you love Smiley. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying, just say everything's open and say they write Smiley off. It was never part of the show. What character would you like to try if you could – not that you could be better than that actor now, but try to portray?
[00:46:10] Oh, I don't think I could ever try and – I look at – everyone on From, what they do. I find it so amazing. I look at everyone. I go, you know, there is no substitute. No, I agree. For you, too. There's no one – oh, thank you. Yeah. Because I'm always worried that – it's like, okay, I find it so cool that how – it's like, wait a minute. So season two, they wanted to kill me off.
[00:46:38] This is now – but I was like, okay, well, it's like, I know it was cool. Big showdown, Boyd, Smiley. Like, they killed off. All right. All comes to all. I got to work with a great crowd. They're really great people. And it's going to be interesting to see how the rest of the show plays out. Then when I hear Finding out, it's like, why did you kill Smiley? We want him back. It's like, oh, my God. I'm like, okay – I was going, wow. I'm – in my head, I'm going, I'm – wow, I'm flattered. Thank you.
[00:47:05] I just – like, in my head, I'm going, it would be cool, but I'm not going to – I'm not going to – I'm not looking to pull strings. I'm not looking for favors. What they decide, one way or another, I'll respect and support because everyone is amazing. And when I find out, I got an email from my agent saying, Smiley might not be dead. I'm like, what? So I was like, oh, wait, do I need glasses again? Or I'm just – I have to read it like three times just to make sure I'm reading this right. And then I'm brought back, the rebirth thing.
[00:47:35] And then when I see season three, as soon as the rebirth, the season three finale came on, almost everyone that was in touch with me went wild. Yeah. When – Yeah. When – When I see just like the reactions I was getting or the reactions people were telling me, it's like, oh, my God. And I was like, thanks. And it's like, oh, my God, that scene's like, could you see – I was like, did you know this was going to happen? Did you think this was going to be so – what was it like doing that?
[00:48:04] And some of the questions I got were a little, yep, that's actually me. That's how I look like. It was even Jack Bender when I came back. Like, he came – he comes up to me. He's really polite and professional and really nice. I was like, hey, man, great to see – it's like, hey, Jamie, great to see you. It's great to have Smiley back. And, you know, it's like, hey, man, you're looking good. You know, you're – I was like, okay, thanks, man. You're looking pretty sharp yourself. And he goes – so – and I didn't know this until later, but I thought we had a double or a stand-in for you.
[00:48:35] I'm just like, I'm sorry. No, just – and it's like – because – and I'm slightly paraphrasing this because people were thinking, it's like, who's the stand-in when they got in for Jamie? That is Jamie. Really? Okay. And then at the risk of – you know, it's like one question that people ask me is like, is that your actual butt? I was like – I know. This is TMI. I apologize. But they were just like, wait, that's actually how you look. Like, this is you. Yep, that's how I look.
[00:49:03] Now, I mean, I did have some stuff on so I wouldn't see everything. But it's like, well, that's me. That's how I look. And it's like – and I was like, yes, I know. I have a – and I always joke with like how I look, like how I free people out even when I'm not in makeup or prosthetics. And one question I was asked once, it's like, Jamie, are you worried about being typecast or do you see yourself playing other roles?
[00:49:30] And what I find is, you know, I love the industry so much, whether I'm known as a horror character or whether I'm known as – if they want me only in horror, whether they want me to try different roles. On the one hand, if you do other roles in different genres, you have range. If you stick to primarily one genre, it's like, okay, this is a cool genre. Well, you know, this is someone whose name you're really going to want to consider.
[00:50:00] So the way I see it, on the one hand, if you're known for mostly one genre and if people like you and respect you enough and think that you have what it takes – I'm hoping that I do, knock on wood somewhere, then cool. Then it'd be cool to have my name considered. And if they see me in other genres, it's like, okay, well, this guy can – this guy, you know, he freaks me out. But, you know, all in all, not too bad because he's not scary 24-7 once you get to know him.
[00:50:29] And when I tell people how I look, it's like, you know, I'm not worried about – it's like, you know, I'm almost pale enough to be a ghost or a vampire. I'm almost hairy enough to be a werewolf, at least with a chest hammer. And let's see. These bags under my eyes, I get very little sleep as it is, so I look half zombie as it is. And depending on, you know, if my hands are dry enough or if there's dry air, well, I look like an unwrapped mummy. So – Yeah, yeah, yeah. So really it's – and I take it in stride. It's like, okay, yep, I'm the Jack McClendon.
[00:50:58] It's like, you know, I know when I smile, people think I'm either ready to take on Batman or freak out Whoville or – like I just popped out of a Stephen King novel. Right, right. Either way, it's just – I'm like, oh, that's pretty cool. I'm nowhere near as good as they are, but thanks for the compliments. When they revealed that everything ends with season five, was that bittersweet for you?
[00:51:24] It is because I know how people say nothing lasts forever and which it's true, but I like that someone – and I forget who – once brought it to my attention that, you know, it's an amazing show and, you know, five seasons is pretty cool. Yeah. And should it be the last season, you know, it's five seasons working with an amazing team, myself and all the other actors, all the other characters.
[00:51:53] We have fans from all over the world saying how amazing it is with the work that we do. They hope that they get to meet us, that they hopefully get to interact with us, not just on – not only on social media, but in person as well. And when I see these fans from different countries, from different places, from everywhere,
[00:52:19] be it in my own backyard, be it in – halfway across the world, be it literally on the other side of the world, be it south of the border, I'm like, this is pretty cool. This is an amazing, amazing show that gets to hopefully – should this be the end, it'll be – no one's – and I hope so – that when it does end, it'll be on our terms. No one's forcing us to do it.
[00:52:44] It's bittersweet and we see it through and it's amazing because no one's scrambling to say, oh, this is our last – it's like, oh, this is our last chance. They don't like us anymore. It's like, no, they love us so much. But I can't speak for everyone, but I find – I trust the writers, the directors, the executive producers, and regardless how many seasons it is, I trust their judgment, their
[00:53:12] professionalism, their kindness and respect of everybody, their support of everyone, our support of each other. And so while it is – you know, it's like, okay, well, it's amazing that I got to be part of such an amazing team. And while from – should season five be the final season, I know none of us will forget each other.
[00:53:35] None of us will forget the show, the memories we've had, and how much collaborations we've done together, how cool it was to meet each other, the work we've done, the help we've given one another. And no matter where we are, I pray and hope that, you know, we won't forget us. And should we meet again to work together on something else, be it on a guest star on
[00:54:02] a TV show, a movie, or if it's a convention that more than one star just happens to see, or if we happen to be in the same city and we just randomly bump into each other. It's cool that that connection, that rapport never really fades. Yeah. Because it'll be there, be it a year from now, be it 10 years from now, be it 50 years from now, or however many years from now. It's cool that those memories will always be there. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's a great answer, Jamie.
[00:54:31] I want to say that, you know, there's shows on TV that, like, they just – they go on forever with no ending in sight. You know, Grey's Anatomy is like that. The Walking Dead is like – was like that, and they have spinoffs too. It's kind of a good thing in some ways that they – that Jack and company, they all have the – they know the ending. They know what they want to do with it. They said, this is where it ends. It's just – I mean, there could be spinoffs. I don't know. Maybe there's a – I don't know. But assuming we don't know that, assuming this is where the journey ends, it's refreshing that they said, you know what?
[00:55:00] This is where we're going to stop our journey. It's season five. That's our story. It has been told. It's just kind of refreshing. It gives me hope that this is going to be one hell of a ride this last season and a half. You know? No, I agree. I understand. It is bittersweet for me because I am going to – because should this be the end, I am going to miss them. And I hope that I get to interact with at least most of them or at least some of them at some point in the future.
[00:55:28] Regardless of how it ends, I have the utmost respect for everyone who's a part of this show. And I hope they – and I only wish that I could bring to the table what they have brought to the table with everything. Because I'm there. I do my best. I do everything. I know I'm not a main character. The fact that I get to be part of such a great show, regardless however many episodes
[00:55:52] it is, regardless however many lines I have, or even if I don't say anything, it's – I'm there. I get to hang out with them. They like and respect me. It's so – and we like and respect each other. And I got to meet my double. And he and I sometimes keep in touch. So – and there was – where he was there doing the work, where he got – he and I were together. I think there was one photo where he and I are together.
[00:56:22] I'm myself. He's in creature mode. And we got a photo taken together. And we still keep in touch. We interact. And I remember it was over the holiday season. I was like, oh, my God. I forgot. Oh, I forgot. It's his birthday. So I messaged him real quick. I was like, hey, man. Happy birthday. Hope you're doing well. I hope you're enjoying your holiday. All the best to you and your family. He was like, oh, my God. Thank you so much. Hey, no worries at all.
[00:56:49] And it's cool that I got to meet and interact with him. And he's a really cool guy, too. And the crew are amazing. I remember one day on set where I think it was the stunt coordinator, I believe. If I'm wrong, forgive me. But he and I got to talking. And I overhear, we talk about certain superheroes and villains. And we talk about, you know, who's your favorite Batman? Who's your favorite?
[00:57:16] And then in between takes when it's like, okay, how are we going to do this? Okay. Favorite Batman. Go. Okay. Favorite Spider-Man. Go. And then during the break, I'm just like, oh, I'm trying to think. How do I keep this going? And it's like, and cut. And interrupts. Okay. I got one for you. Favorite cat woman. And then, so he and I are just interacting with this. We're just having a great time. And then there was one woman on set and she was really polite. And I was like, oh, you two. I was like, oh, look at you two nerding out. It's so cute. And then two of us are just in knots laughing because anyone who knew me in high school,
[00:57:45] nerd would not come across as describing me in the least. Yeah. Yeah. But I was like, you know, I mean, I work out. I try and stay fit. But I, like that said, yeah, I work out. I stay fit. That doesn't mean I'm a stranger to comic books or comic book heroes and villains. And it's like, you're talking to a guy who usually roots for the villains and not just because he often looks like one on TV. So I was like seeing his favorite Joker. And I get to, I mean, I grew up watching Spider-Man.
[00:58:15] I grew up watching Batman. And then with different series, I get to look at this, see all these different characters. Because I was, I mean, I've been a fan of Marvel and DC since I was a kid. Yeah. Yeah. And I got to see it. And it's like talking with these different people. And it's about, you know, favorite horror movies, favorite destinations. If you want the favorite spooky destinations or just somewhere you want to go that's on your bucket list for a while. And it's just great that we talk about work.
[00:58:45] We keep it professional. But you also get to relax and hang back out and have everyday conversations with them too. Right. Right. Right. No, that's, that's great. Jamie, thank you so much for this. You've been so awesome. And I'm so excited to see where Smiley goes the rest of the season and moving forward. It's one hell of a ride, Jamie, isn't it? The rest of the season. You don't have to give me any details. Oh, no. It's a thrill. Filming everything is such a huge thrill. And it was amazing.
[00:59:12] And a compliment I was given by Pega, she said, she looks at me and goes, you have a very expressive face. I was like, um, thank you. And then, um, and then I think for one moment or two, well, it was just myself and maybe one or two other actors around. I smile. And then I do like the Jack Nicholson Joker impression. Like just the grants, like you can call me Joker. I'm a lot happier.
[00:59:42] And then just do a little bit of chuckle there and something like that. I was like, oh my God. Jeez. Yeah. Jamie, thank you so much. She's like, we're excited and you've, you've really created this iconic character that people are going to remember forever. So Jamie, enjoy the rest of your day and thank you so much for this. Have a great day, Jamie. Thanks. You too. Take care.
